Lightweight Workflow for Smooth Computer Performance

✅ Before Starting Work:

  1. Restart your computer
(Fresh memory = faster performance, avoids hidden junk buildup.)
  2. Open ONLY these:
    • 1 browser window (preferably Brave, Opera, or Edge — lighter than Chrome)
    • ChatGPT tab
    • Your project folder if needed (file explorer)
    • (Optional) One download manager like FreeDownloadManager if you download big files.
  3. Close completely:
    • Email apps (Gmail tabs, Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.)
    • Music or video players (Spotify, YouTube, etc.)
    • Social media sites (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok tabs)
  4. Check WiFi or Ethernet connection
(Stable internet stops “freezing” during uploads/downloads.)

✅ While Working:

  1. Download 1 file at a time
(Especially images — let one finish before starting the next.)
  2. Avoid scrolling too fast when loading lots of images or content. (Scrolling aggressively forces your graphics card to redraw the screen many times.)
  3. Save progress frequently
(If writing, designing, or editing. At least every 10 minutes.)
  4. If screen flickers or slows down → Pause for 30 seconds
(Let the computer catch up instead of forcing it.)

✅ After 1 Hour:

  1. Take a 2-minute break
    • Close extra tabs
    • Walk around a little
    • Let the computer cool off (Even computers need a “breather” like humans.)

🎯 Pro Tip:

If you’re doing heavy image work (like generating with ChatGPT, Canva, Photoshop, etc.):

🔹 Maximum 2–3 images per session,
🔹 Download them,
🔹 Then refresh ChatGPT or your browser.

This avoids memory leaks (which are what cause 90% of black screens on older machines).

🏆 Final Bonus Tip:

👉 If you’re expecting a long work session (2+ hours):

  • Before starting, close everything, even the desktop icons you don’t need.
  • Imagine making your computer into a “race car” — strip it down to the essentials for top speed.
